Develop Your Living Guidance to Transform Your Life and Work

Here's a bit more about my journey:

I've developed expertise in many areas in my applied work. My clinical acumen comes from years of clinical practice (and curiosity) and the joy of working directly with clients facing various life issues, including relationship challenges, trauma, and a desire to live more abundantly. With over 15 years of graduate teaching experience as a Professor of Counseling, my students taught me how to teach what I know as they developed their own applied professional expertise. In my early training, I was psychodynamic/intersubjective, and I moved into studying and speaking about attachment theory in the late 1990s. During that season I became an Emotionally Focused Couples therapist and supervisor and I was a trainer for many years. In 2011, I co-hosted a large Attachment conference at EMU including Dr. Dan Siegel, Dr. Susan Johnson. Dr. Jim Coan, Dr. Nancey Murphy, and Dr. John Paul Lederach, culminating in my co-edited book, Integrating a New Science of Love With a Spirituality of Peace: Becoming Human Again, with my husband, Dr. Christian Early. 

My ongoing search for 'What creates change?' ushered me into the era of neuroscience and the possibility of experiential/ embodied modalities to access the body's wisdom and use the alive edge of what is emergent to harness change. It didn't take long for me to wonder how to move beyond symptom reduction to activate an inner (and outer) wisdom source for vibrant living. I began exploring beyond traditional modalities and received training in AEDP (Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy), EMDR, Emotional Freedom Technique, and Ericksonian Hypnosis, as well as becoming informed in (studying and teaching) many models, including Focusing/Felt Sensing, Somatic Experiencing, IFS, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Interpersonal Neurobiology, mindfulness and meditation methods, and many others.

About 15 years ago, I began weaving  Jungian Depth Studies perspectives into my life and work and stretching beyond my familiar frameworks to explore the potentials of subtle processing and the power of receptive states of awareness. I became certified in Integrative Energetic Medicine, Reiki, and I explored pathways for accessing non-ordinary states to create rapid life shifts. I made a commitment to honing my energetic, intuitive skills by working as a practitioner for many years to learn and watch how this created state changes (and consequently life changes) for those I worked with. I believe that this is the leading edge of psycho-spiritual growth, one that is now being reflected more broadly in the psychologies through modalities that access non-ordinary states, increasing the potential for rapid and lasting change. 

My training, expertise, and personal experiences with right-hemisphere, intuitive ways of knowing, energetic and subtle sense perception, and expanded awareness methodologies bring these two streams of training and practice into my work with you. I do not offer psychotherapy services that diagnose and treat mental disorders and our work is not focused on exploring past experiences. I serve as a Living Guidance Coach and Consultant who partners with you using a broad psycho-spiritual framework that focuses on accessing a more expansive wisdom source that is available to each one of us.  As we work together in consultation or through coaching, I accompany you in developing your own Living Guidance system to learn to directly work with and use this wisdom source in your life and in your work with others.

Whether we work through coaching to support you in developing your own Living Guidance capacities or in consultation to help you learn to apply these skills in your work with others, I am excited to help you find your access into the subtle world  and to expand your awareness to live by and to offer this out into the world.
